“Physical Therapy may not be the first thing you think about after a mastectomy, but it made an enormous difference for me. I would enter therapy aching and sore and leave after half an hour feeling like a new person. I wholeheartedly endorse physical therapy for breast cancer patients. The staff is professional, the facility provides privacy, and the outcome is outstanding.” – Phyllis H
” I would certainly recommend your facility to anyone with a dizziness problem. I was treated as if I were your only patient. Service was quick and efficient. Everyone went above and beyond. My walking is improving every day.” -Michael G
” I used to have multiple dizzy spells every day. After the treatment, which was reduced to a couple a week, with the home exercises I was given, I am hoping to get rid of the dizzy spells altogether.” – Joe G
“I found the staff friendly, competent, and attentive. This was my first experience with physical therapy, so I don’t have a lot of basis for comparison, but I would recommend them and would go back myself if I needed to.” -Ben E
“Had my shoulder therapy done here after a rotator cuff repair. Amazing how nice everyone was. Rick, one of the PTs, really works hard at getting you better and also makes the sessions enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. I am much better now and it’s because of the therapists at this place!” -S.B.
“I had been told by my doctors that I needed physical therapy after a double mastectomy and failed reconstruction. I did not want anyone touching my scars; therefore, I didn’t go. After numerous stitches and wound reopening, I finally went to Albany Physical Therapy. Carey is my therapist, and after the first appointment, I drove home with a huge smile on my face. The tightness in my chest has lessened, and my mobility is getting better. My regret is that I did not go to therapy sooner.” – Lee F
Had a great experience at this facility. The entire staff is very friendly and they work with you to get you back where you should be. I would definitely go here again if I need to in the future.- Julie Z
This review is long overdue. I needed PT to help regain my balance due to a vestibular problem. I had Cochlear implant surgery and was unable to walk without the aid of a walking stick. I was already compromised on my right side from a surgery in 1992. The implant surgery in February 2024 turned my world upside down. Expecting things to resolve with time I was using a walking stick and the assistance of my wonderful wife for two months. Things didn’t progress so I asked my surgeon for a referral to PT. We ended up at Albany Physical Therapy and I began working with Carey. She did an initial assessment, told me she could help and developed a plan of exercises for my body and my eyes. There was no lengthy explanation of how the body works and why I was having problems, just a straight forward approach to help me regain my mobility and balance. Long story short, I walked in using an aid and after 2 sessions a week for about 5 weeks I walked out with no aid, exercises I could continue to do and the confidence to resume life as mostly normal. As I’ve continued using those same exercises and techniques that Carey taught me things have impacted further. So thank you Carey and Albany PT for what you do and more importantly how you do it.- Dennis P
